Consequently, train operations in the interior districts of Sindh were temporarily halted, and rescue teams were promptly dispatched to the accident site.
Progress was observed on Monday, as the affected section of the Pakistan Railways track was reopened approximately 18 hours after the tragic Hazara Express derailment. This reopening followed the successful removal of 11 carriages from the path over 13 hours by local authorities.
With the tracks now clear, trains that had been held at different stations resumed their journeys to Karachi. Among them was the Green Line train bound for Karachi, which had been compelled to stop at Nawabshah station due to the derailment. Furthermore, the Hazara Express travelling from Havelian to Karachi also resumed its journey towards its final destination.
