Huawei’s Seeds for the Future & Tech4Good Program
Huawei’s Seeds for the Future program serves as the company’s flagship CSR initiative, dedicated to nurturing ICT talents on a global scale. In an era marked by innovation and technological progress, this competition offers a unique platform for young minds to exchange ideas, connect with peers from around the world, and gain valuable insights into the ICT sector that will shape their future. Since its inception in 2008, over 15,000 students from 139 countries have participated, garnering endorsement from over 450 senior officials and heads of state.
The Tech4Good regional competition, now in its third year, will also be held in conjunction with the Seeds for the Future program, empowering youth to drive positive change within their communities. This year’s program will feature intensive training sessions and workshops covering cutting-edge ICT technologies, scientific and technological leadership, global discussions, Tech4Good group projects, and more.
Through learning and collaborative exchange, participants will enhance their understanding of 5G, AI, and cloud technologies, build skills for future growth, and enhance their competitiveness in the job market. Participating students will present their Tech4Good projects to judges, with eight outstanding teams comprising 40 students advancing to the second phase of the Tech4Good program in Dubai, UAE, from September 10-16, 2023. These winners will then qualify for the final global competition in China, competing against teams from across the world.
Together, these students will explore the immense potential of ICT in driving sustainable development. Winners of the Tech4Good Global Competition will be invited to the Tech4Good Startup Sprint in China, where they will have the opportunity to experience real-world entrepreneurial environments in cities like Shenzhen and Beijing and compete for a startup support fund of US$100,000.
