Army Chief Appreciates China, Saudi Arabia, UAE for Helping in Pakistan’s Economic Recovery 

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, on Friday, acknowledged the vital role played by friendly nations—especially China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—in supporting Pakistan’s economic recovery across multiple sectors. During his visit to the Karachi Corps area, COAS was briefed on operational readiness and training initiatives.

He also inaugurated the Innovista Indus IT Park, designed to empower the youth through collaboration between academia and industry, particularly in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and civil dignitaries attended the event, where the COAS emphasized the importance of IT development in boosting economic growth.

In a meeting with Karachi’s business community, COAS praised their contributions to Pakistan’s economic progress and highlighted the positive role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in improving economic indicators. He encouraged trust in Pakistan’s potential, stressing that the country, rich in resources, is destined to secure a prominent place in the global arena.
